CAN Nodes are an emerging technology in the aerospace industry and are being pioneered by AeroMech Engineering. Natively supported by the Piccolo autopilot, CAN Nodes deliver an efficient, robust, and highly distributed architecture that allows easy vehicle integration for any UAV system. In one particular example, over 7 lbs of wire harness was eliminated from a UAV by integrating the vehicle with a CAN-based system. AeroMech Engineering offers both off the shelf solutions along with the expertise to work with you on designing a custom CAN node system to work in your Piccolo based vehicle. More information is available on the AeroMech website. |
